Purpose:          The ASSERT program at Utah State University is a state-of-the-art preschool program that uses research-based instructional techniques to address the individual needs of children with autism.  Program specifics include:

·               Serves children with autism ages 3 - 5

·               Operates 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm

·               Located in the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD) at Utah State University

·               Individualized educational and behavioral programs for each student

·               Specific, measurable outcomes in each need area

·               Also provides private consultation services for kids older than preschool age

Purpose:  Provides private consultation to schools and families in their homes; includes interventions for behavior, home and family, education, social skills, recreation, as well as advocacy training, diagnostic assessments, and marriage and family counseling.

Purpose:     A team of educators and speech pathologists offer parent consultations and other direct services to children with autism. Services include PECS, TEACCH, ABA, Social Skills, Floor time, and language therapies.  They will also train others including teachers, extended family, church workers, babysitters, and in best practices for working with children with autism.

Purpose:    The mission of Autism Support Connections is to enhance the quality of life of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families/care-givers by providing them support as they make connections with essential community service providers.  The Director of Autism Support Connections has worked with individuals from pre-school age up to middle aged adults with autism spectrum disorders and their families/care-givers since 1980. Supports are guided by individual needs based on an individual treatment plan. 

Knowledgeable in applied behavior analysis (ABA), development of behavior support plans based on functional assessments, providing individual and family therapy.

Experience in interfacing with school systems, vocational rehabilitation, DSPD service delivery system, community systems, and creating unique new services.  Member of Autism Society of America, AAMR, USAAA.  Up to date on current issues and treatment strategies.

Purpose:          Redwood Learning Center provides consultative services to families who wish to set up   ABA programs for their children diagnosed with autism or PDD.  Redwood provides services to families in Utah and surrounding states.  They offer full time, in-home programs based on applied behavioral analysis (ABA)/Lovaas techniques.
